About Lindsay
When Lindsay was around 12 years old, she asked her mom to teach her how to make pies, and that is when her love of baking began. You would often find Lindsay in the kitchen making a batch of pie dough, rolling it out, sprinkling it with cinnamon and sugar, baking it then sharing this delicious treat with her family. The famous dessert they all called “pie crusties.” Not long after Lindsay learned to bake pies was when she became in charge of making the Thanksgiving pies (no small feat in her home). Fast forward many years to 2018. After helping her friend with her home-based baking business, she realized that she could start her own business, making pies. And that is when Say Pies was born. Lindsay baked away during pregnancies, a new baby, Covid, busy schedules, and what kept her sane and grounded during her daughters 3 1/2 year battle with cancer, was baking. Baking became an outlet for Lindsay. Sadly, on January 31st, 2025, her daughter passed away. Lindsay and her family were uplifted by not only their community but their Say Pies community as well, which they will be forever grateful for. After taking an extended pause from baking, Lindsay is in the kitchen again, ready to share her love of baking to her community.
